Zachary is currently working full-time as a Housefellow and Coordinator of Residential Education at Carnegie Mellon University. In this role he oversees the on-campus living experience of more than 250 students in the Fifth Ave Neighborhood of Carnegie Mellon’s main Pittsburgh campus.

He most recently completed a Master of Science graduate degree in Strategic Communication at Radford University, summa cum laude. His research focus was in higher education communication strategies, and his thesis consisted of a qualitative content analysis comparing social media communication across different higher education institutional types. Alongside this research, he completed a variety of classes ranging in subjects all related to the theory and practice of Strategic Communication; including principles of organizational communication, public relations, communication theory, media ecology, pedagogy, marketing, and and social media analysis.

Before that, he graduated cum laude from Millersville University with a BA in Multidisciplinary Studies: Economics, Philosophy, and History with two minors in Government and Political Affairs and Film Studies.

In his free time, Zachary greatly enjoys discussing, in great detail, any new (or old!) movie, game, or book that he can find a willing discussion partner for. He does also get outside from time to time on walks with his wife and two puppies.
